Mini Cooper became electric: photos of a new serial model were published

The automaker Mini, which previously showed its biggest model in history, introduced the Cooper SE serial electric hatchback.  In the company, the novelty is called "the world's first all-electric premium small car," writes Autonews.
Externally, the car is slightly different from the electric concept car Mini Electric Concept, shown in 2017.  The novelty has the same "closed" grille with yellow inserts, special aluminum rims, as well as a port for connecting the charging cable to the right.
Serial Mini Cooper SE equipped with an electric motor from the BMW i3S, which develops 184 hp  (135 kW) and 270 N • m of torque.  The motor allows the hatchback to accelerate from standstill to 60 km / h in 3.9 seconds, and acceleration to the “hundred” takes 7.3 seconds.  The maximum speed is forcibly limited to 150 km per hour.
