Despite the demands of the United States, Turkey will continue economic relations with Iran.

On Wednesday, August 8, the head of the Turkish Energy Ministry - Fatih Donmez stated that Ankara is not going to sever economic ties with Iran. He explained that they have joint contracts that do not conflict with international law. Therefore, relations will continue, despite the decision of Washington to renew sanctions against Tehran.

Recall that on May 8, US President Donald Trump announced the withdrawal of his country from a nuclear deal. Also, sanctions were imposed against Iran, which were frozen in 2015.

Already this week the sanctions came into force. They will affect the automotive industry of Tiger, trade in oil, gold and other metals.
