Britain and EU agree on Brexit

After two days of negotiations, London and Brussels announced the approval of a new deal on exit conditions.
The European Union and Great Britain reached an agreement on the conditions of Brexit. On Thursday, October 17, said on Twitter the head of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker.

According to him, the agreement "on an additional protocol on Northern Ireland and a political declaration that will complement the agreement on UK withdrawal from the EU" was reached after two days of negotiations.

“When there is political will, there will be an agreement, and we have it,” he added.

Juncker added that he recommended the EU summit to approve this deal.

Reaching agreement was confirmed by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

“A wonderful new deal has been reached, thanks to which we will get more freedom. Now the parliament on Saturday should allow us to implement Brexit,” he wrote on Twitter.

It was previously reported that Boris Johnson compromised on Brexit. He stated that he would not conduct checks on the border between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. However, the European Commission called Johnson this "controversial".
